Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) is thrilled to announce that its nationwide Story of Scripture experience is traveling to Manila, Philippines on September 26 - 27, 2025. The event will be conducted as a part of the Engage Conference hosted by Grace Christian Church of the Philippines (GCCP) in Quezon City.

The Story of Scripture is a unique event in which Dr. Mark Yarbrough, president of Dallas Theological Seminary, and other leading speakers present a two-day conference that immerses attendees in the major themes that weave all of Scripture together from Genesis through Revelation. But more importantly, the experience helps attendees understand their part in God’s great plan of redemption.

“The Scripture is pretty clear that God makes promises and keeps them,” said Dr. Yarbrough. “He reveals those promises in the pages of his Word, and offers his assurance to every believer that we can trust him unconditionally with the messiness of life.”

Dr. Stephen G. Tan, Senior Pastor of GCCP, said, “Our desire is that those who attend the ENGAGE Conference and the Story of Scripture seminar will see how the entirety of Scripture comes together as One Story. Then people begin to see that God’s great plan includes them. Every believer is loved and cared for by their Creator.”

Though primarily a U.S. based event, there is growing demand for the experience globally including events in Monrovia, Liberia, conducted in April, 2024, Manila, scheduled for September 2025, and Germany in 2026.

“It is the greatest story ever told,” said Yarbrough, “and God offers a part in his plan to anyone who will receive it. We truly believe that everyone who attends this event will emerge with a new

understanding of God's love for his people. Some will be encouraged in their faith and others will see, for the first time, that God has a unique and divine place for them in his grand narrative.”

Launched in 2016, the Story of Scripture events have been conducted before thousands of people including The Billy Graham Center at The Cove in Asheville, North Carolina, and dozens of churches nationwide.

Dr. Mark Yarbrough began his tenure as the 6th president of Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) on July 1, 2020, succeeding Dr. Mark Bailey. He has served in a variety of positions at DTS including Research Assistant to the President, Executive Director of Information Technology, Associate Dean for External Education, Vice President for Communications, Academic Dean, and Vice President of Academic Affairs.

His love for the classroom draws him to the Bible Exposition department where he serves as Professor. In addtioin to leading DTS, he travels extensively leading tours and speaking at conference centers. Mark has recently authored Jonah: Beyond the Tale of a Whale and Tidings of Comfort and Joy. He has been married for thirty years to Jennifer, his high school sweetheart. They have four adult children, one son-in-law, and reside in Sunnyvale, Texas.
