The Story of Scripture is a unique event in which Dr. Mark Yarbrough, president of the seminary, and other leading speakers present a two-day conference that immerses attendees in the major themes that weave all of Scripture together from Genesis through Revelation.
Our prayers usually begin with something like,“Dear God,” or Heavenly Father,” and end with “in Jesus’ name.” We don’t typically think about God having names, and even if we do, we often don’t know or understand them.
Growing up, I loved comic books. I was especially a fan of Batman, the winged protector of Gotham. There was no villain he couldn’t eventually outsmart. As a little kid, that’s who I wanted to be one day–the keeper of justice in a world full of bad guys.
